What we do
Otaku PH is a Filipino-owned, independently operated directory for the Philippine anime and otaku community. We keep the country's most complete calendar of anime conventions, cosplay competitions, pop-ups, and screenings — covering not just Metro Manila but Cebu, Davao, Baguio, and everywhere Filipino fans gather.
Beyond events, we publish practical guides for fans in the Philippines: where to legally stream anime (with GCash and peso-price info), which episodes to skip for long-running shows, where to buy authentic merch without getting scammed, and a directory of brick-and-mortar stores across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Our principles
- Nationwide, not Manila-centric. Every regional event gets the same editorial attention as a Metro Manila convention.
- Legal streaming only. We never link to piracy sites. Our streaming coverage focuses on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Bilibili, Muse Asia, Ani-One and other licensed platforms.
- Transparent affiliates. When we earn a commission, we disclose it. See our affiliate disclosure.
- Fan-built, fan-first. We're Filipino otaku ourselves. Every event we list, we'd want to attend.
- Accurate or nothing. We review every event submission, verify venues and ticket info, and correct mistakes immediately — tell us if you spot one.
How we fund this
Otaku PH is free to read and free for event organisers to list on. We fund the site through a small number of advertising partnerships with anime-adjacent brands, affiliate commissions on streaming sign-ups and merchandise purchases, and reader donations. We don't run auto-served banner ads, never sell personal data, and never take money for editorial placement.
