Affiliate Disclosure

Short version: Some outbound links on Otaku PH are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That commission helps fund the site. It does not influence what we recommend or how we rank things.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells the destination ("Crunchyroll", "Shopee", "Amazon", etc.) which site referred you. If you complete a qualifying action — a subscription, a purchase — the referrer earns a small commission. The price you pay is identical whether you use the affiliate link or go direct.

Where we use affiliate links

Currently, Otaku PH participates in affiliate partnerships with:

• Streaming platforms (Crunchyroll, Netflix, Bilibili, Max, POPTV Bento)
• Figure and merch retailers (AmiAmi, Solaris Japan, RightStuf Anime, Shopee)
• Book retailers for manga (Fully Booked, National Book Store partnerships where available)

Every article that contains affiliate links includes a notice at the top of the article stating this explicitly. On pillar pages like Streaming in PH and Merch Guide, we note affiliate relationships inline.

Our editorial principles

• No pay-for-placement. We rank platforms, stores, and events based on our editorial assessment — not on who pays the highest commission.
• No fake recommendations. If we wouldn't use it ourselves, we don't recommend it, regardless of commission rate.
• Honesty about cons. When a partner has downsides, we say so in the review.
• Distinct sponsored content. Paid sponsorships (not affiliates) are clearly labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the article.
